Know Your Documents – 2.5 hours (£45pp)
As a Councillor you know that your council have adopted Standing Orders and a Code of Conduct but why and what do they mean? Councils are also governed by Financial Regulations, find out which ones apply to your council. Topics will include:
What's in Standing Orders and why does it matter?
Do we have to follow the sections in bold in the model Standing Orders?
Can our Council add our own sections to the model Standing Orders?
How does the Code of Conduct apply to me?
