Prevention of Harassment Training (£15pp) for members

Under the Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023, effective 26th October 2024, employers now have a duty to prevent the sexual harassment of employees.

One of the ways a Local Council can do this is to provide training for staff, and councillors. If a council is subject to a claim from an employee and training has not been undertaken, this can impact on the size of any payout awarded.

This one hour session is aimed at both councillors and staff and will give you an understanding of the new legislation and what your council can do to help prevent sexual harassment.
