With effect from 6 April 2026 the Employment Rights Act 2025 (ERA 2025) has introduced some significant reforms to UK employment law which will impact all Parish and Town Councils who have employees. This informal working brunch will cover the key elements of change including Unfair Dismissal, Sick Pay changes, Sexual Harassment prevention, legal protection for pregnant women, changes to employee contracts, redundancy reform, confidentiality clauses and the Establishment of the Fair Work Agency.
During this half hour session we will look at the following:-
Enhanced protection for workers
Changes to sick pay
New rights regarding parental leave
Industrial action rule changes
